Colombo 17- Alutkade West, no. 58, Meeraniya Street, view from N. (n.d.)
The international orientation of Sri Lankan architects took place at an unknown date in the late 20th or early 30th of the 20th century, when they adapted the concept of Art Deco design for facades. The shape of this bungalow you will find even in Mexico for example. But there is a specific Sri Lanka touch connected with the adaptation: the ornament of the grills, and the pediment is to be found only here.
